For the last several days, I've blown through (literally) a box of Kleenex ~ 184 count (yuck), drank cupfuls of green tea and have been positioned horizontally trying my best to lay low and beat the bug I've caught. And trust me, this doesn't come easy for a girl who is always in motion. Thankfully, I've had Nate (not Nate, my husband) Berkus to help me through it.
Every year the one thing that is always on my Christmas wish list is a new design book. This year was no exception and at the top of my list was
The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus. Thanks to my sweet son, Corbin, I unwrapped this beautiful book on Christmas morning.
Since then, I've been wishing for some downtime to pour over it's pages. Well, I got my wish (albeit, I wish it were under different circumstances). This book has so much heart and soul. It is filled with wonderful anecdotes about some amazing people, their stories (struggles and victories) and how their homes came to be. It's a beautiful book ~ one I think would be a wonderful addition to your coffee table and/or library.
And just in case you were wondering, the multiple cups of tea I consumed from the beautiful teapot, cup and saucer ~ my youngest, Gavin, surprised me with on Christmas. You can find them
here. Hoping you are well today ~ and that nasty bug doesn't come knocking at your door. XO ~ Dana
